Eccentric

Eccentric is a mental trait in The Sims 3: Ambitions. It also is a trait in The Sims 3 Pets for console.

Eccentric Sims have a natural ability when it comes to inventing crazy gizmos and whachamacalits.

Attributes

• Your Sim will have a higher chance of discovering new inventions while dabbling or inventing.
• Your Sim will be faster at making discovered inventions.
• Your Sim will have a higher chance of making Improved Widgets.

Player notes

• Eccentric Sims learn the Inventing skill faster.
• This trait is first available at birth, but does not come into play until a Sim is a child.
• NPCs with this trait are attracted to the following Lot assignment: Junkyard.

• The Eccentric trait picture shows a character who resembles Doctor Emmett Brown from the Back to the Future movies, possibly a reference to the fact that inventors can build time machines.
• Oddly, Technophobe does not conflict with this trait.
• Even though the trait is named "Eccentric", it does not make sims more eccentric, just more skilled at inventing.
