Cristina Dark had met Wilfred Culver on Isla Paradiso as teenagers. While they would break up, they would later rekindle their romance and get married. A few days after murdering her father, Joel Dark, the two would move to Setra. Shortly after, Cristina became pregnant and give birth to Emerson. After becoming a toddler, however, the family would move to Riverview, where he was raised.
in Riverview, Emerson became friends with many other Sims. One of them, his best friend, is Dimitri Ivanov. He would also date Dimitri's sister, Tatiana (Although they would eventually break up).
Despite being a teen, he has reached level 8 in his Athletic skill. He has also reached level 3 in both logic and drums due to his activity as a toddler.
