Having won every race competition, Lightning was crowned as the fastest horse in Appalosa Plains, until his owner and jockey, Peter got an accident and forced to retired, causing Lightning to unable to race again.
However, months later, when Peter agreed to train Eliza for an upcoming race, Lightning finally introduced to Eliza. Despite yelling at her first, Lightning finally gave Eliza his trust after he felt the girl's kind and gentle personalities.
