Maghda Steed (née Conner) is a pre-created Sim living in the Veronaville neighborhood in The Sims 2. She is the daughter of Imperius and Magdelena Conner, from The Sims (both are deceased at the start of The Sims 2's storyline). She has two daughters, Ashlynn and Graziella, from her marriage to the late Belial, and soon after the player starts to play the Steed family it becomes clear she is carrying their third child. There is an error with her memories in that she gave birth to Graziella after Belial died, yet her third child is recognized by the game as his. Since Maghda could not have gotten pregnant with the third Steed child when she was already pregnant with Graziella, Belial could not be the father unless he somehow impregnated her post-mortem. This, however, contradicts a picture in the Steed family album that shows Maghda about to give birth with both Belial and Ashlynn present.
Maghda wears a gray patterned tank top and tight black jeans, and her black hair is pulled back with a blue clip. Maghda and her daughters live in a large manor in an out of the way corner of the neighborhood. She has very little money, perhaps a result of losing her husband to a pool ladder accident, and therefore losing the income he'd brought in. However, she seems to have some expensive items in the house, such as the bed and the pinball machine. She did have a job as an Intern in the Politics career track, but changed careers shortly after Graziella's birth, possibly to suit her personality more. She has a hectic life watching her rebellious child daughter Ashlynn, caring for Graziella due to her being a baby (she has 1 day left before aging up into a toddler at the start of the game), and being pregnant with her late husband's third child. She is known for being cold-hearted, sometimes overly so...
Her relationship with each of the Summerdreams is just short of the friend level, though she doesn't seem to have much in common with either of them.
When the family is first played, Maghda is 21 days away from becoming an elder. Due to this, some players believe she had Ashlynn as a teen, but that isn't possible unless cheats or hacks are used. Besides, her memories indicate that she was an adult when she had Ashlynn. Therefore, it can be assumed that she had access to the Elixir of Life at some point after her birth.
She is not unique in this, as it has also been noted in Brandi Broke of Pleasantview' Broke family.
Maghda has 6 points of Cleaning skill, 1 point of Writing skill, and 3 points of the hidden Meditation skill.
When the game starts it is revealed that Maghda is pregnant with her third child. However, due to there being no father, the baby will take Maghda's genetics, and have black hair instead of the brown hair that Belial passed down; and will always be female. Of course, the player may choose to change the baby's hair color when she is older. Usually, the baby girl turns into a toddler wearing a pink dress, and white shoes and socks.
Though it can be seen in the family tree that black-eyed Belial is the father of Ashlynn and Graziella, Maghda's memories show memories of a black-eyed Belial Steed and a red-eyed Belial Steed. Ashlynn and Graziella both have red eyes. Using SimPE, looking in the Default family shows that there are two Belial Steeds, and the one that can be resurrected has black eyes. (This is similar to Olive Specter and Circe and Loki Beaker having memories of a different Nervous Subject.) So, the mistake here is that the biological father of Ashlynn and Graziella (black-eyed Belial) is the resurrectable Belial, though red-eyed Belial, who cannot be resurrected, is in the majority of Maghda's memories. Therefore, the genetics of Belial's eyes and Ashlynn and Graziella's do not match.
