Meeting the Original 8[edit | edit source]

Eight Sims were abducted, altered, and had all memory from SimNation wiped clean by some unknown entity. They were each programmed to do a specific task to create a flourishing community of single-gender Sims from a completely empty world. One task that each were programmed to do was to procreate with at least three of the other Original 8. Another is to create a home business in which they can provide the rest of their community with their specific talents.[1] So without further adieu, let's meet the Original 8.[2]

Tyler Harper[edit | edit source]

Hello. My name is Tyler Harper, and I am ... not sure what I am.

Hmm... Harper? Does that mean I play the harp? Where is the harp? No. I know, I make them! Wait, no. I don't know how to make a harp either. I wonder what my name is in reference to...

Hey, there's a stick over there in the mud. I wonder if I could draw something. A line here. Maybe poke here and here. How about we fill this in here? Now would you look at that! It looks like a blob of mud with a face. I don't know what I am, but I want to draw. Come back in a little while. You should walk down the road and around the corner there.

Sean Carpenter[edit | edit source]

Would you mind getting me that piece of wood over there? Thanks. I don't know about you, but I don't want to sleep on the ground tonight. I don't think the other guys I've seen walking around here want to either, so somebody's got to make beds around here.

Voila! The first bed of ... what is this place call? Anyways, I'm off to make seven more. If you see any more wood around, just let me know. Also, stay away from the termites, they'll eat you. Ha! Just kidding. Later.

Chris Fisher[edit | edit source]

Umm, hi. Yeah, I'm fishing here. I figured that since my name is Fisher and there's a lake here that I should see if I can get some fish for all of us to eat.

I've managed to get a couple of boots that are too big to wear. I know because I tried them on. I don't know what to do with them. They ain't good for bait. I honestly don't know what is good for bait.

Woah, I think I have a bite. Come on. You're not getting away from me. This better not be another boot. No, I don't think so because this bite is really trying to pull away. Got it! Woah, lookie here. It's a fish ... with a large mouth. I guess nothing else other than the boot and this fish have a big enough mouth to take a bite on this rock. Hmm... maybe this worm will be better luck.

Well, see ya. Oh, there's nobody around that corner. Just cross the street here and you'll meet more of us.

Matt Baker[edit | edit source]

Finally I get a counter from Sean. Do you know how long it took me to get him to make it? He was so focused on beds, but we are going to go hungry faster than needing sleep. And I hope that we get some food growing because this stash that I have isn't going to last us through winter. That is unless I get someone to make some sort of box to keep this food cold so it won't go bad. But then I'll have to get some wood to make a fire unless we only eat cold food. That's actually not a bad idea.

You know, I honestly don't know what we are trying to do here. If you ask me, I think we are just apart of some cruel game that we'll probably never survive. I sure hope that I'm wrong.

Okay, would you leave now? I have some cooking I need to do. Sandwiches aren't going to make themselves, you know.

Kyle Potter[edit | edit source]

I see you are coming from Matt's. He really isn't that bad. Most of the time. I think. Okay, so I've only known him for a few hours, but he can't be that bad, right?

Anyway, I am making some plates for him to use for his cooking. I think that everyone will prefer to have something to put their food on and not eat from their hands. I'm just glad that I had this wheel. I have done okay a couple of times, but I think I need to take a dip in that lake to clean up a bit before I try again. If you're meeting everyone, you'll want to turn that corner to meet the guy with the fruit trees.

Mike Gardener[edit | edit source]

I honestly wish to some people would realize that things don't grow overnight. Or instantly for that matter. These things take time. I mean, I was lucky enough to already have some fruit trees here, but they aren't budding yet. And then I had to hunt for some seeds. The only thing I could find were tomato seeds. I just hope that they will be alright until I find some other seeds and grow them.

Luke Taylor[edit | edit source]

Well, I finally got a chair so I can sit down at this sewing machine. I think I can make some potholders for Matt. The problem is I don't know what colors I should do. Black, red, or green. I guess I'll do one of each and see which one he likes.

Ouch! I think I just pricked my finger. Why did I want to do this again? Actually, I really don't know why I want to do this. Maybe I'll just lay here and stare at the clouds for a while. Okay, that's enough! I need to make those potholders.

Dan Plummer[edit | edit source]

Shew! That was a close one. Would you believe that there are no bushes around here? I was lucky enough to make this toilet in time. I better hurry because I have a felling that they others will need one too. Then it is showers and tubs. Maybe I can wait on the showers and tubs. We do have the lake to bathe in after all. I'll just read this book on my new bed.

Oh, right! Matt asked me if I could make him an icebox too. Ugh! I really don't want to do all of this stuff now. I'll look for ice cubes in the sky. If I happen to see some birds while I'm at it, good for me. Hehe!
