A festival is added in The Sims 3: Seasons. A few days into each season, you will get a notice that a festival has rolled into your town. There will be a special maptag for the festival site, which is one of the big parks in your town. The activities, interacting objects and decorations will vary depending on the season. Doing various activities will earn tickets, which you can trade in at a concessions stand for prizes. The food that can be bought at a stand is themed to the season, like hot chocolate in winter and ice cream in summer. When no festival is going on, the festival grounds will be a regular park area.
