I know that The Sims 2 allows this, but I also know that it allows players to do things they should never actually do. So, I'm asking, is this safe to do? Dharden (talk) 01:23, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

From what I have read over the years and have observed, the best way to remove custom clothing content is to remove directly from your downloads folder. Find the specific package files and their meshes (if those meshes are not being used by other custom clothing that you want to keep), and delete them. If you did not place the meshes in the same folder as the clothing, it doesn't hurt anything to just delete the texture packages only. Hope this helps. Happy simming! Should be perfectly safe to delete clothing. Clothing doesn't contain anything like character data. If you delete the mesh of custom clothing you'll wind up with things documented on this page. Other than it affecting the appearance of clothing it shouldn't be an issue. If you delete custom clothing that is in a family's wardrobe, it will simply disappear. I believe if you delete clothing while a Sim is wearing them, they will simply get a new random outfit, though I have not tested this (I know for sure no corruption occurs). --I am k6ka ^{Talk to me!} _{See what I have done} 19:37, October 14, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks. I had been wondering what would happen to clothing that is in a family wardrobe. Xia, I prefer to delete directly from the folder, but Debug Mode doesn't give filenames. Dharden (talk) 20:15, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
