I am wondering if I can really upload non-Sim related images such as cartoon-related in The Sims Wikia. The problem is that although I can tag them {{PD}} for licensing, it doesn't look right as these images belong to another company and not for public domain.

Thoughts?

I believe such issues aren't too problematic, as long as the image is actually used, and as long as it isn't overdone. Make sure to properly put copyright information, and it should be ok. (edit conflict) You're free to upload whatever you want here under the provision that you use it somewhere - i.e. on your userpage, etc. As for the copyright... you could use {{PD}} but there probably is a better option. Maybe just a statement along the lines of "This image is licensed to x" or something. ђ talk 03:29, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
Don't use Public Domain unless the image is actually in the Public Domain. If it's a cartoon done by a company, use {{Fairuse}} and have a written explanation below the template explaining where the image comes from. -- LiR speak ~ read 03:42, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
(Correction) {{Fairuse}} has a space for listing the copyright holder. For example, {{Fairuse|<Your mom>}} would appear as:
File:Fair use logo copyright.svg
This file is copyrighted. The individual who uploaded this work and first used it in an article, and subsequent persons who place it into articles, assert that this qualifies as fair use of the material under United States copyright law.
