For some reason the sim2, sim3, and sim4 templates were messed up in the education and employment section, and now they are all back to normal? 85.29.96.107 (talk) 14:42, June 27, 2017 (UTC)

Discussion[edit source]

Someone was messing around with a template without testing them first *ahem*. That's why we test our changes elsewhere before we save our changes. Lesson learned. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 14:48, June 27, 2017 (UTC)

Ok, it's good that it's fixed now. :) 85.29.96.107 (talk) 14:53, June 27, 2017 (UTC)

It seems that the sim and simbio templates are still messed up in the traits section and they don't show the world where the Sim is living in. 85.29.96.107 (talk) 18:55, June 27, 2017 (UTC)

Please link to the page where you're seeing this problem. I took a look at a random page and could not find the problem you were describing. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:30, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
Template:Sim4 and Template:Sim3. The trait section has unnecessary empty spots and when copying the syntax, and putting the world where sim is from, the template is not showing it. I made a test template in the The Sims Wiki:Sandbox. 85.29.96.107 (talk) 19:40, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
I have fixed the spaces with the trait section. The auxiliary templates they were using had unnecessary line breaks in them. Still looking into the "World" section. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:47, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
Oh derp, now I know why the "World" information isn't being displayed; the field checks to see whether or not it is in the main (article) namespace or in the fanon namespace; if it's not in either, it won't display anything. You can try and copy the code in your sandbox into any article or fanon page and click Preview (Don't click Publish or it'll save your edit); you can see that the "World" field works just fine. However, since the sandbox is in the Project namespace, it won't display anything there. Granted, {{Sim}} was never designed to work in the Project namespace, only in the main and fanon namespaces. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:57, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, thanks a lot! 85.29.96.107 (talk) 20:03, June 27, 2017 (UTC)
