I'd like to propose that we make formal World Pack (like Stuff Pack and Expansion Pack) pages for the Store Worlds. OR turn the current store world neighborhood pages into such page. My reasons for doing so are this:

  • Store worlds are being sold in stores as world packs.
  • TheSims.com actually has them listed as "World Packs".
  • They are more than just a neighborhood now. They contain new sims, new objects, and with the case of Midnight Hollow, even new gameplay. Now, they contain more content than even a stuff pack in some areas. A World Pack page for each would cover all of that information rather than just the normal content coverage of a Neighborhood page.

Thanks for your time. --Mr. Ice Christmas (talk) 20:22, September 29, 2013 (UTC)

I know that some neighborhoods are sold as world packs, while others (especially the older ones) aren't/weren't. I guess I'm not 100% clear on what you're suggesting here. However, I think it would be beneficial to have a page about World Packs... anyone can start this kind of page, it doesn't need a community discussion. Beyond that, I'm not sure. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 00:11, September 30, 2013 (UTC)

I would oppose against the idea of creating World Packs. World Packs are merely store worlds with store sets that are stored in a disc and sold in retail stores. There's no point of creating an article for that because technically what's inside would just be the information about the world itself. It would be redundant, as it would seem like you're creating two different articles of the same thing. These World Packs, on the other hand, should only need to be mentioned in their respective world articles.
A while ago, we made a conclusion to merge compilation packs into a single article, in respect to the lack of content for each compilation pack (it's still incomplete, btw). This is because a compilation pack between, like, The Sims 3 and Supernatural for example has nothing worth mentioning to warrant its own page, as the information can mostly be covered in the respective expansion pack article. If we are to make World Packs, we will eventually face a similar problem again.
It doesn't really matter if the official site has a special section for the World Packs, to me. Even though they add new objects, we hardly ever list all objects featured in a set / pack. As for new gameplay additions, they're mostly tied to objects as well (with the exception of Store skills). Creating a page for the object is more a appropriate solution, like what we've had already: cow, dragon, Tree of Prosperity, wishing well, etc. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:56, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
