Galaxa Space Car
Many vehicles claim to be the car of the future, but ours is the only one that actually traveled back to your time from the future! Featuring technology we’re not allowed to describe because of the impact it would have on the development of your culture, the Galaxa can carry you to any point in space and time almost instantaneously. (Please note that all earthbound models are restricted to low impulse engines only.)

Buyability No

The Galaxa Space Car, often called a UFO, is an item in The Sims 3: Seasons. An alien automatically has one in its inventory. It is the fastest car in the game, and seems to come down from the sky next to its destination after leaving its earlier location. The Galaxa Space Car can only hold one Sim at a time.

Acquiring[edit | edit source]

There are two ways to be able to acquire a space car.

  • Add an alien to the household by meeting an alien and convincing them to move in, or by using testingcheatsenabled to add an alien to the home. The alien will have a Galaxa Space Car in their inventory, which can be moved to a parking space and used.
  • Use buydebug to go into debug items. The Galaxa Space Car will be under "Miscellaneous", costing §11,109. Like a car, it must be placed in a parking space.

Upgrades[edit | edit source]

A Sim who has achieved level 7 in the handiness skill can upgrade a Galaxa Space Car in two ways, but only one upgrade can used at any time.

  • Laser Cannons allows the owner of the Space Car to invade a community lot by clicking on it, selecting a lot, and beginning. If the Sim is evil, they will get the "Fiendishly Delighted" moodlet.[confirmation needed]
  • Space Travel lets the driver travel to three places: the Moon, the Great Asteroid Belt or the planet Sixam. The Sim will come back with a special moodlet and perhaps something new in their inventory.

Invading a lot[edit | edit source]

An alien invading a lot.

Community lot invasion is only possible with an upgrade. First, the Sim flies to the selected lot, and the ship hovers for several minutes, luring Sims over to the lot as they run to see what's going on. After a significant number of Sims are gathered, the ship will shoot lasers into the crowd, singing Sims and scattering them as they yell and scream. The law will not attempt to do anything about it, and there are no consequences whatsoever.

Space travel[edit | edit source]

Space travel works a bit like using the time machine in The Sims 3: Ambitions. The traveling Sim will be non-viewable for the duration of the trip. It is possible to rotate between household members while a Sim is traveling, but notifications about events the traveling Sim was part of will appear at the side of the screen. The traveling Sim will return with a special moodlet, and may have items added to (or removed from) their inventory.

Abduction[edit | edit source]

A Sim who has obtained the Galaxa Space Car can choose to abduct a Sim that they have met. The user will travel to the target's location and abduct them into the space car. The interaction appears to function the same way that Sims are abducted from their home lot by NPC aliens; the target notices a "mysterious anomaly", looks upwards, and is pulled into the car. Unlike a normal abduction, however, both the user and the target will be transported to the user's home lot in the space car. Once they arrive, the user will explain the prank to their target.
