This is the basic tutorial to turn a Sim into a Zombie.

The Sims

This section is in need of additional information. You can help The Sims Wiki by expanding this section.

The Sims 2

In The Sims 2, there are three ways to turn a Sim into a Zombie.

  1. Play a university graduate. College graduates can work in the Paranormal career track. The career reward for this track is the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, which is unlocked at level 5 (Medium). This career reward can be used to resurrect dead Sims. Paying pay the Grim Reaper between §988 and §4127 will bring the resurrected Sim back as a Zombie. This method requires The Sims 2: University.
  2. If a household is lucky enough to receive a Genie lamp from the Gypsy Matchmaker, one of the available wishes is to resurrect a dead Sim. There is a chance that the resurrected Sim will be brought back as a Zombie, but the player has no control over this. This method requires The Sims 2: Freetime.
  3. Turn a Sim into an atrociously evil Witch. An atrociously evil Witch with level 9 Magic skill can resurrect a dead Sim as a Zombie. This method requires The Sims 2: Apartment Life.

The Sims 3

Zombies aren't available as a life state in The Sims 3. This tutorial focuses purely on cosmetic side of creating a zombie.

Open the game, and select your neighbourhood.

Hold CTRL SHIFT C to open up the cheat window. Type in as follows

testingcheatsenabled true

Enter. Then bring up the window again and type

unlockOutfits on

This enables all the hidden clothes and hairstyles, ie: Career outfits, ambitions fails etc.

Now go to create a sim/household.

Select your zombie's gender. Now onto the skin color. Click on the little arrow to display more skintones. If you have CC (custom content) in your game, you may or may not see the default skin tones, which include red, blue and green. Scroll on your mouse to display the other skintones. I would select a blue or a green. Make your sim quite skinny, and muscular.

Next you will want to select a hair, correct? Choose something you think will suit your zombie and make it realistic. Also, be sure to check out the hidden styles.

Now we are onto your zombie's face. Make them look however you like. I would go for dark black eyes as it makes them look menacing, or bright white eyes. When you are happy, go onto make-up.

If you do NOT have ambitions, this might not help too much. Under eye-liner, there are several options which look like tears, which you could change to blood red, or blue/green to match the skin. Under lipstick, there are some 'fails' which look like blood smeared across the face. This looks very effective.

Your sim should start to look more and more like a zombie, aren't they?

We are now onto the clothing. Under 'tops', there should be some ripped clothing which will look very good with your zombie. You can also download clothes off of the internet which are ideal for zombies. There are patterns available which look like blood too. Select your outfits, take advantage of the hidden clothing. Look under each catagory for more options.

Your sim is now ready to scare the residents!

There are mods out there which can make your sim walk like a zombie, you just have to know where to find them. There are also worlds up for download on the exchange where your zombie will blend in.
