Game guide:The Urbz: Sims in the City (handheld) walkthrough

Template:Tutorial-nav The Urbz: Sims in the City is a handheld game in The Sims series. Here is a walkthrough to help complete the game.

Story

The game continues from the end of The Sims Bustin' Out. Before the actual start of the game, the player's Sim's rocket crashes onto King Tower, and the player's Sim soon gets a job as a janitor there. The main antagonist, Daddy Bigbucks, buys the King Tower, and it's owner, Harlan King goes missing. The game starts from here.

Walkthrough

Mission 1

Slave to the Grind

Play "Squeegee Clean"

Kris Thistle, the head custodian at King Tower approaches your Sim. She yells at them for taking a break. After she is done, move your Sim over to the big Simoleon symbol to play Squeegee Clean. Squeegee Clean is one of the many minigames in The Urbz. All you have to do is clean bird poop. If hit by one, run over to the side and get a new squeegee from the bucket. It does not matter how many simoleons you earn.

Befriend Kris Thistle (Relationship 30)

After your done playing the game, Kris approaches your Sim again and tells you that your fired. You soon learn that Daddy Bigbucks bought the tower and fired your Sim. Now you must befriend Kris to find a place to live in the tower. All you have to do is click on her and start socializing. Just choose the conversation topics until the relationship meter reaches 30.

Give Kris your Squeegee and Bucket

This part is rather easy. All you have to do is click on Kris again, and click the last option. It will open up more actions. Choose "Give Gift," and choose the Squeegee and Bucket from your Sim's inventory.

Get Cleaned Up

Now that your Sim has a place to stay, you must go there and get cleaned up.

Take a Shower

After your Sim is allowed to live in the penthouse, go there and take a shower in the shower place.

Take a Nap

Now your Sim must take a nap. You can either take them to the Law Offices and sleep in the bed there, or sleep on the benches in the lobby.

Eat Something from the Vending Machine

If your Sim is not there already, take them to the lobby. The Vending Machine is near the elevator on the left. Click it and buy a snack.

Help Kris Thistle

Since she gave your Sim a place to stay, you must help her now.

Move the Bed to the Suite

Now your Sim must do many things for Kris. Go to the bed in the Law Offices, and click "Put in Pocket." After that's done, go to the Skyline Penthouse and place the bed there.

Repair the Television

Now your Sim must repair the television in the Law Offices. Once you're there, click on the television and choose "Repair." A hologram of Harlan King will appear. He tells you that Daddy Bigbucks bought the tower and gave him a free vacation to Paradise Island (a location you will visit later).

Repair TWO Drinking Fountains

Now your Sim must repair two drinking fountains. There are many of them around the tower, so look for ones that are broken. Click on them and choose "Repair."

Get the Key

Kris locked herself into the tower, and cannot leave until the weekend. You must steal a key to help Kris unlock the tower.

Earn One Mechanical Skill Point

You must earn a mechanical skill point before trying to steal the key. Click on the shelf to the left of the Law Offices and wait until the skill point meter is full.

Pick the Lock to Lily Gates' Office

Stay and the Law Offices and click on the door. Choose "Pick Lock," and wait until the door is unlocked.

Find the Key

Look behind the desk to find the key. After finding it, Daddy Bigbucks and Lily come in and arrest your Sim. Detective Dan D. Mann takes your Sim to jail.

Get out of Jail

Now that you Sim is in jail, you must find a way to get out. Detecive Dan will question you. Answer the questions in this order: Anything, "The janitor told me I could stay," "Real food, I was tired of eating junk," "No, He is finding legal ways to make people miserable," anything.

Befriend Detective Dan (Rel 30)

Now that your done answering questions, you must now befriend Detective Dan. Socialize with him and choose different conversation topics until the relation meter reaches 30.

Find a Place to Live

Play the Hoopz Minigame

Now that your Sim is free from jail, go to the roof and and click the big Simoleon to play Hoopz. To play, just line up the hoops as close as you can into the center.

Earn §150 for Rent and Taxes

Just keep playing the Hoopz minigame until you reach §150.

Buy a House

After you earn enough money, leave the jail and search for an apartment. There are two available apartments: the Small Brownstone and the Large Brownstone. The Large Brownstone is bigger, but costs §200.
