Gary Shue is a pre-made child Sim, living in Hidden Springs. He was in need of a home and was adopted by Granny Shue, along with three other kids, Dany, Carlotta and Star. He is friends with his adoptive mother and siblings. He loves catching bugs by exploring the woods and then studying them. Outside, there's a playground where he and his siblings can play. He shares his room with his siblings. In his inventory, he carries a teddy bear and a book.
He could possibly be related to Townie Michael Donovan. They have the same haircut and skin tone, wear the same glasses, and have similar facial structures. However, their possible relation is never confirmed.
