Gina Gibson only appears in The Sims Castaway Stories. She is one of the survivors of the sinking of the Queen Solomon. In some games, she may be subject to a graphics glitch.^{[citation needed]} In her dialogue with the player character, she mentions wanting to get back home to her family - perhaps implying that she is married and/or has children, although this is not expanded upon.

After completing the Shipwrecked and Single story, Sandra and the other castaways will appear in the family bin because the helicopter that rescued them crashed. Her family bio implies that the crash was caused by her fault. Gina is said to have taken over the helicopter control because she wanted to learn how to fly the helicopter, at which point it crashed.
