The Grandpas household consists of a trio of Elder men Bennie Dean, Henry McGlum, and Melvin Taft who live in Riverview across from the Spenster sisters. Bennie has a son, George, who lives on the other side of town, though presumably used to live in this house. He is trying to recover from the recent death of his wife. All three men seem to have been very good friends for a long time.
