University- Knowledge! Culture! parties!

Sororities and Fraternities in the University expansion pack.

Advantages

  • Sims can visit campus autonomously, bringing back pizza and furniture.
  • Sims can throw toga parties- they wear a special toga outfit.
  • Unlike dormitories, all aspects of the greek house can be changed.
  • Sims can use "Sleep On Floor" interaction. Unlike passing out, sleeping on floor will not decrease your Sim's comfort.
  • Sims can streak across wherever player wants.
  • Sims can show affection towards one another by "horsing around," which is the Sims version of floor play (note- has to be with a Sim of 100 relationship points.)

Disadvantages

  • No caterer.
  • Sims can not be moved in unless they join.
  • Unlike a dorm, all members are controllable and only 8 can be in the house at a time.

Upgrading

As a greek house gains more friends, it goes up in rank. Rank can be checked by clicking on the greek letters of the house. As the rank goes up, more members can join and sims visiting campus will bring back more expensive things.

Making a greek house

Must be on a residential lot, not a dorm, in university. Use a phone to call greek house, and select apply for charter. This will cost you the hefty sum of 20 simoleans.

Joining and pledges

If a playable sim wants to join a greek house, it can be done so in three ways.

  • Calling up: If this is done, three members of the house will come round to meet your sim. A scenario begins and the sim has a few hours to impress the sims enough to join.
  • Asking a sim outright: If the playable sim and the greek house sim have a high enough relationship, asking to join the greek house will have a positive outcome.
  • Pledging: If when a greek house is being played, and a greek house member has a high enough relation ship with a townie or playable sim, they can ask that sim to pledge to their greek house. Pledges can be influenced to do anything without using influence points. After spending a certain amount of time on the lot, the pledger becomes a full member and can either move in or stay as an outside member of the sorority.

Cheats to join greek house

Use the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, and then call the greek house you want to join. Then when you sim puts down the phone, left click on the mailbox and click 'Make Friends for me' The advantage of this is that when the Greek House members come, you are automatically in the greek house, they will cheer at your sim, and run off and leave. Another advantage is that your sim will become Big Man/Woman on Campus. The disadvantage is that people that don't know your sim , will constintaly call you on your phone. The best way for it to stop is to remove all phones, and even your sims cellphone
