He died an early death, and, as with Olive's other husbands (including her ex-lover [[Earl E. DeMise]], who left Olive at the altar), it is suggested that perhaps, Olive murdered him. This theory has not been proved, yet it is a strong possibility. His name is a pun on [[Wikipedia:Euthanasia|euthanasia]]. He died in a fire.

 

 

He reappeared in [[Midnight Hollow]], also as a ghost. Like his ''The Sims 2'' counterpart, he also died in a fire. His skin is much paler and his eyes are white instead of blue in ''The Sims 3'', however it's just to match the pattern of other deceased Sims in the world. Hugh is buried in the cemetery on Olive's lot in both Strangetown and Midnight Hollow.
