The Lothario Family is a premade family first found in The Sims 2. The last living member of this family is the Pleasantview womaniser, Don Lothario, who is largely involved in the Pleasantview love web.

From what we can understand, the Lotharios have always lived in Pleasantview, but this is uncertain as all of the Lotharios apart from Don are deceased when the game begins. Don lives in 150 Main Street.

His ancestors appear to be just like him, as some of them are Romance sims, and also appear to have an Italian heritage.

Onomatology

Lothario: "A man who obsessively seduces and deceives women" or "a man who behaves selfishly in his WooHoo relationships with women". Lothario is also a term for any man who behaves in a way that he does. The names seem fitting, seeing as Don has Italian decent. Also, the Lothario theme still holds true for one or two of the names

Don Lothario: A "Don Juan" is basically a synonym for Lothario. Also, Donald (which Don is a common nickname for) means "ruler of the world". Don Lothario's name seems to be very fitting to him.

Nicolo Lothario (Don's father): Both Greek and Italian it means "Victory of the People".

Adriana Lothario (Don's mother): Means "From Hadria". Hadria is a town in northern Italy. it also means a dark woman from the sea, variation of Adrian generally an Italian name

Carmelo Lothario (Don's paternal grandfather): (Italin) (Hebrew) It means Garden, orchard, and fruitful plants it also refers to Mount Carmel in Israel, which is referred to in ancient writings as a kind of paradise.

Mama Lothario (Don's paternal grandmother): Slang for an attractive woman. May also refer to the idea she is the mother-or mama-of Don's mother. Occasionally used as part of Italian related things.

Primo Fiorello (Don's maternal grandfather): Literally means "Grandfather" in Spanish.
