Mariana Matlapin is one of the pre-created, yet unplayable sims featured in The Sims 2 as ancestors of playable, pre-created sims. Though deceased when the game begins, you can see her in the relationship trees of playable sims Darren Dreamer and Dirk Dreamer, who are her son-in-law and grandson, respectively.

She resided, during her lifetime, in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods that ships with the game. She is the mother of Darleen Dreamer, who is deceased when the game begins. She was the wife of Omar Matlapin.
