Murphy beds are reintroduced in ''[[The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff]]''. Like in previous games, they are designed to save space in small homes and fold out as a bed. However unlike the previous games, Murphy beds in ''The Sims 4'' are electronically powered, rather than the mechanical Murphy beds in ''The Sims 2'' and ''The Sims 3''. As a result, these beds can break like any other electronic item, and Sims will have to repair them to reduce the chance of death. Sims also use a remote control to open the bed, in contrast to the previous games where it was done by hand, although sometimes the electronic mechanism fails and sims try to manually drag the bed down (this carries a very slight chance of death by Murphy bed). Murphy beds can be upgraded to never break - meaning that they will never cause accidental death.
