Paintings are wall decorations that can either be purchased in buy mode or build mode,[TS4] or created with an easel. From The Sims 2 onward, paintings created on the latter can be hung up on the wall and displayed; in all games, they can be sold for Simoleons. In The Sims 4, some paintings may inflict an emotional aura.
Haunted painting
The Sims 3: Supernatural introduces haunted paintings, which change from a calm, innocuous painting to a spooky variant at night. Haunted paintings return in The Sims 4: Spooky Stuff, where they change over time.
