Grim reaper

is the life state that will be included with The Sims 3: Into the Future. Grim reapers are shown in the announce trailer and in some promotional images, which suggest that several different styles of Grim reapers will be available. The trailer also suggests that Grim reapers will be able to posses Sims in some fashion.

Sims will be able to create pre-made Grim reapers. There will also be a "Create a reaper feature, which will allow players to create Reapers and customize existing ones. Grim reapers will be able to have up to seven "traits", though not all will be able to have that many. [1].[2][3]

Simology

A Grim Reapers Simology panel will show the Reaper's name, and gender. It will also show which traits it has.

In the Q&A on July 30, it was mentioned that Grim Reapers do not age, but can have accidents. It was implied that Grim Reapers are otherwise Immortal..[3]

Motives

Undead Energy.

It appears that this will be the Grim Reaper's equivalent of energy. The Live Broadcast on July 30, 2013 mentioned that Grim reapers. will be able to siphon power from household members. It also mentioned that there will be the ability to rest in the ground. There will also be a level 8 trait that will let them use power more efficiently.[4]

Reaping.

Grim Reaper's will have to Reap the souls of sims often or risk losing their sanity, not much is known about this motive.

Create a Reaper.

The announce trailer suggests that it will be possible to create Grim reapers inside a special dimension. The live broadcast from July 30, 2013 indicates that clicking on the machine will allow the player to enter Create a Reaper, which is similar to Create a Sim, but oriented toward building Reapers. The player will be able to customize the Grim reaper by choosing a Head, Body, Arms, and Legs, and will be able to color the parts in a manner similar to Create a Style. There is a "randomize" button, as there is in Create a Sim. The player will also be able to use the machine to customize an existing Reaper.

Access to Create a Reaper will not be free.[5]
