Robin is based on the character Robin Hood, who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, as his family biography implies. He is married to Marian Hooley, a reference to Maid Marian, Robin Hood's love interest. He lives in a small house outside of town near the Loch Ness lake. His house is covered by trees, a reference to how Robin Hood lived in the forest.
