In The Sims 3, Simon is already deceased and his tombstone can be seen in the Goth family graveyard. He is buried with his wife, Prudence, along with his son-in-law's parents and an unknown relative (Lolita Goth).

Like the other dead Sims buried on the lot, his ghost haunts the Goth Manor. If asked if he is single, the response is he is not and that his partner was Prudence Crumplebottom. While his personality in The Sims 2 indicates that he is sloppy, he has the neat trait. Oddly, despite being dead in both games, Simon's appearance has changed slightly, his face is chubbier, he wears a different suit with a red tie instead of blue and his hair is somewhat longer and styled differently.

If Simon is resurrected and aged down to an adult, it will be discovered that he had red hair with brown roots before it turned grey. This contradicts his genetic information in The Sims 2 where his hair was black before it turned grey. It's possible that he dyed his hair red prior to becoming an elder. All other ghosts buried at the Goth Manor share this quirk.
