He is an island native and an apprentice of [[Amanaki Tama|Shaman Amanaki]]. He lives in [[The Shaman's Hut]] with the Shaman, the Shaman's wife, [[Urari Tama]], and another apprentice, [[Patariki Hina]], in [[The Shaman's Hut]]. In the [[Shipwrecked and Single]] story, Afi and Patariki appear in [[The Jungle]], where they guard the path to the [[Creepy Hollow]]. The protagonist may pass after he/shethey are hasgranted permission from [[Fangaloka Manave|Chief Fangaloka]] to see the Shaman.

After the story, Afi and the rest of the [[Tama family]] become playable from their home lot. He or Patariki was supposed to be the successor of Amanaki as the Shaman of the tribe. However, in the end the protagonist is chosen instead of them.

Afi has the [[Fortune]] [[Aspiration (The Sims 2)|aspiration]] and the [[Sagittarius]] [[zodiac sign]]. As far as [[personality]] goes, Afi is very active and playful, but also very shy and grouchy. He has no [[skill]] points. His main [[interest]]s are Crime, Travel, and Weather.
