- Yes, it is an actual name (cited as being an anglicization of the French Gaillard), but AFAIK, it's fairly uncommon, and some editors may be unfamiliar with it. Also, that it's an actual name doesn't mean that it can't also be a pun, though I agree that it's not glaringly obvious. Dharden 04:26, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

- It's actually possible in real life for someone to have an artsy personality\painting talent but dislike having paintings and sculptures in their house.
- The same for childish and hates children.

The purpose of Gaylord[edit source]
- What's his purpose then? Just to be Gobias's father? I think not. It's most likely a pun, because Gobias's bio says he prefer his male friends over women. I personally played with Gobias a bit and actually made him gay just for fun. But he also says he wants to find the 'right woman' so maybe he's bi. Plus, if he's was not made to be gay then wouldn't his father be named Straightlord? (JUST KIDDING)DarkSuicune2000 (talk) 05:03, November 18, 2014 (UTC)

Is it possible that his name doesn't imply he's gay, but implies he's the father of a gay son. Lord implies an athority, so perhaps he's the authority of someone who's gay. Lord is also a term used to describe god, or "the father." A gay lord—lord of gay.
