Cho family[edit source]

There appears to be a new family: Cho family. I wish they are related to the Cho family from Belladonna Cove, so that it has storyline continuity... Nikel Talk 09:40, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Unless you've got this from a reputable source, there might not even be such a family. I really hate game releases and new neighborhoods because it is so hard to monitor what's real or not, not to mention actually making the pages... *sigh* ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 09:43, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Here's some banners from thesims3.com that show the new families.Cho FamilyVanderburg Family

Pertridge Family Shue Family--The Black Scorpion 14:04, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Nevertheless, there still isn't information of them. Sigh... why would EA not bother using the same Cho family? Nikel (Talk to me!) 10:47, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
We don't know if it's the same Cho family or not.--The Black Scorpion 16:40, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
Except for major families, EA doesn't typically follow any sort of continuity with Sim names. A lot of the time, Sims are named after people on the design team or people the designers know. A lot of the family names are based on the last names of the game designers. So if a name has repeated, odds are it's just because they chose to use a designer's name again. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 17:21, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
By the names of the Sims of the Cho family it doesn't seem they have a connection with the Cho family from Belladonna Cove. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 20:52, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Info[edit source]

I added some more info on the article from the official confirmation from the EA site. Vss2eiptalk here 09:43, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Would you be able to reference the info you've put in? If it's not been referenced, it may be removed by another administrator. Thanks. ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 09:48, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
What do you mean? I need to put links to where I found the info? Vss2eiptalk here 09:50, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, Vss. You must add refereces to them. You should be aware that new released rumors always have the same content even if they're from different site references. It's because they're from one source initially. There's no need to add too many references, just use the same one if possible Nikel Talk 09:53, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Use this code:<ref>http://ea.gamespress.com/release.asp?i=1618 Official EA Confirmation</ref>
Just replace the URL with the URL of the site you found the info from. ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 09:55, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Wh, i think you need to update the neighborhood template. there is no hidden springs there. Wir.wiryawan 09:58, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
I don't know if that's necessary for now, Wir... It's still too new, isn't it? Nikel Talk 10:02, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
No, not really. I'll have a look at the template and see if I can update it. ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 10:04, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Wait, I'll do that! Can I? Nikel Talk 10:14, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
Umm, now I see it, the template looks to be fine to me. To be honest, I'm not even that sure how to do that sort of stuff :p ~>ђ (Ŧlยttєгรђא ƒтω!) 10:15, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
If Wir meant Neighborhood Navigation template, I've just made it. Nikel (Talk to me!) 10:24, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

The Shue family[edit source]

I don't know why, but I think the Shue family resembles in some way the Newson family, with the difference that the Gloria is not alive and Granny is, but both of them adopted many kids and raised them alone, could it be an easter egg? --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 23:03, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

It might be a bit early to tell, to be honest, but I doubt it would be. --ฬђ(Ƭ)(ς)(๒) 23:48, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
They only resemble each other as much as the Smith family of Strangetown resembles the (Goneril) Capp family of Veronaville, and how both of them resemble the Burb family of Pleasantview. Only difference is that "nuclear families" like those three are more common (or were) in real life, than just a single woman raising a bunch of adopted kids alone (or even just 1). The Alto Household[edit source]

I've noticed that on both the Hidden Springs and Alto Family articles, users have stated that there is a new Alto living in Hidden Springs. As i currently am unable to play the game due to a fried video card, i can not go in and confirm or deny their claims. Can anyone who has Hidden Springs confirm or deny that one of the new Sims is an Alto? Until it is confirmed, i have added "citation needed" next to their name in this article and the Alto family article where this is mentioned. Thanks. The Black Scorpion 03:46, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

That alto is different from sunset family. i already add all family and its story on the page except the member, the address, funds, and difficulty. im sorry before because i dont have enought time to add that. Wir.wiryawan 06:35, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Retail Version[edit source]

Good news to report on this tonite. It has been discovered that unlike Barnacle Bay's retail release, Hidden Springs actually has a disc in the case! Barnacle Bay only had a slip with a code to redeem for SimPoints on the Store, but I guess backlash made them change their mind when released Hidden Springs in retail stores. Sweet, eh?[1]The Black Scorpion 02:29, February 18, 2012 (UTC)

Nevermind. Turns out it's just a disc that installs Origin and redirects you to The Sims 3 Store. When it redirects you to the store, it shows Hidden Springs for the price of 2450SP, thus overcharging since HS is actually 2,000sp on it's Store page. Lame right?[2]The Black Scorpion 05:14, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
Gosh, EA is out of their mind... You mean, they actually want us to fall for this??? Shame on you, EA! Nikel Talk 07:21, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
