Changing the title[edit source]

Can we change the title into "Junk car"? We may know that The Sims 3 has a car that it is almost similar to this one. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 09:34, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

Can it be restored? If it can be restored, can Sims drive it once it is restored? Dharden (talk) 11:41, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, it is a restorable car. Very similar to One's Man Junk Car, but with more interactions. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 11:43, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't aware of that. Write it up. I'll see about renaming once I am more awake and coherent -- it's early AM here-- but I think the title "One Man's Junk Car" should be kept as a redirect. Dharden (talk) 12:01, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
No big deal then, however I'll finish for tomorrow but I'm almost finished the details about TS3 version, just polishing and adding some pictures to fix up. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 12:05, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. Will look once I am more awake, have had shower, coffee, etc. Dharden (talk) 12:16, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

What does the Classically Cool Fixer-upper Car resemble?[edit source]

I'm not a car person, and even less of an old-car person, so all I can tell is that it's some sort of roadster. Dharden (talk) 13:10, July 13, 2014 (UTC)

I saw some of these resemble to this in my country (the Americans brought these to here), though I don't know the name. However I know that this car is between 1920's-1940's or 50's. ~~.ThePeculiarMe | (talk to me) | (my mistakes) 13:14, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
I can tell that it's "period" for Roaring Heights, and the 1950s is a bit late for that. Beyond that, it could be anywhere from 1920s to early 1940s. Dharden (talk) 14:39, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
It looks like it could be a Duesenberg Model J, which was built from 1928-1937. I think it looks very close to the 1930 J Walker La Grande Torpedo Phaeton. Icemandeaf (talk) 15:54, July 13, 2014 (UTC)

Store fixes required?[edit source]

While looking for more info, I came across a Google search-snippet that said: "NOTE that the Sky High Rollercoaster and the Classically Cool Fixer Upper Car require the "Store Fixes" to work ..." The link is to a page on Facebook, and I don't follow Facebook links. However, more searching led to this thread at MATY -- but what I know about the in and outs of Sims 3 content could be inscribed on the head of a pin. Dharden (talk) 15:04, July 13, 2014 (UTC)

Every time a new premium content is released, people at MATY claim that they need a fix in order for the content to work properly. I know for sure the fix is intended for the decrapped stuff, but I don't know if the legit fresh-from-the-Store stuff still needs the fix. All premium contents require an up-to-date ccmerged.package, though. Nikel Talk Vote! 05:08, July 14, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, Nikel. Nona explained it in a way I can pretty much follow -- even at 7:30 am with minimal caffeine. I posted that because I wasn't sure what to make of it beyond a warning to beware the Jabberwock and shun the frumious Bandersnatch. Dharden (talk) 11:35, July 14, 2014 (UTC)
