Description Edit
- This template can be used on discussion pages to indicate that you have experienced an edit conflict while writing your message.
Usage Edit
- Simply adding
{{edit conflict}}will produce:
- You can also use the shortcut -
{{ec}}, which will do the same thing.
- If you have experienced multiple edit conflicts, you can also add the number of edit conflicts experienced by adding a numerical parameter. For example, if you experienced three edit conflicts while editing the page, type
{{edit conflict|3}}or{{ec|3}}. That will produce:
- (edit conflict × 3)
- This template may help to indicate that one's comment is a response to an older state of discussion and may not take recent replies into account, which can prevent awkward situations in which one person seems to have not read recent comments.
