The Sims 3: Hobbies and Professions was first heard to be on the release list of a Dutch store, Bart Smit, in January 2010.[1] The original article announcing this on the Dutch site, SimsPlanet2, was taken down at the request of Electronic Arts.
Infinite Sims reported in February 2010[2] that the expansion pack is available for pre-order at Take 2,[3] a South African site, as well as The Sims 3: Create a Sim.
Quote from the site www.simprograms.com:
"Sims 3 Nieuws has picked up an important piece of information about the next expansion pack. As we all know, two listings have been confirmed about the rumored The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions expansion pack. We now have a third confirmation, except this time, the name is now The Sims 3: Ambitions.
Now keep in mind this is coming from a Dutch site, and sometimes the game is named differently in various regions. So it still could be The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions...We just don’t know for sure, and probably won’t until EA speaks up."[4]
On 2 March 2010, The Sims 3: Ambitions was spotted on Amazon.com but the page seems to have been taken off and it is still unconfirmed by Electronic Arts.
