In April 2010, an EA employee leaked information on Twitter that development The Sims 4 had begun.[1] However, that is the only information we know about it. If the same amount of expansion packs are released for The Sims 3, based on the times of The Sims 2 expansion packs were released, The Sims 4 should be expected in 2013/2014.


It is extremely likely the game will have a newer version of Pleasantview that takes place up to 25 years after the events of The Sims 2. There are things that might be likely to appear in the game, such as:

-Cassandra Goth being wife to either Don Lothario or Darren Dreamer.

-Mortimer Goth, Coral Oldie and Herb Oldie dead of old age.

-Dustin Broke being husband to Angela Pleasant.

-Dirk Dreamer being husband to Lilith Pleasant.

-Alexander Goth being husband to Lucy Burb.

-Daniel Pleasant being husband to Kaylynn Langerak or still husband to Mary-Sue Pleasant.
