Unprotect

I'd like to suggest that we unprotect this page at the end of September, once it stops being the Featured Article. We can always re-protect it after that time, if it is an issue. cheats

Some of the cheats are the same, but not all. There is a list on http://www.ign.com/wikis/the-sims-4/Cheat_Codes and various other sites. You can also see a list of cheats by typing help in to the cheat console. Some codes don't work in neighborhood view though.Suceress (talk) 19:12, September 15, 2014 (UTC)

Mac Version IS REAL

Just so you guys know, a Mac Version HAS BEEN CONFIRMED and HAS BEEN SINCE THE SUMMER. There is just no known release date yet.

That was the first announcement of The Sims 4, in May of last year. Since that announcement, the developers have repeatedly said that their focus is on building the PC version of the game, and they've given no details on when (or even if) they plan on creating a version for Mac. Keep in mind that this isn't the first time that the developers/SimGurus have announced something that later did not come true; the existence of cars and toddlers in TS4 was confirmed months before the announcement that they did not exist. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk ~ blog} 18:56, September 6, 2014 (UTC)

Money making with handiness

Tip: Focusing on the handiness skill can earn your sim up to $12,000 a day with creating bathtubs when woodworking. This excludes expenses, fun emotion, and social emotion. I think it could be great for starting up families (starting from 1 sim.)

Traits used : Loner, Cheerful (Just incase it doesn't work so well for others.)

Patch section

What's exactly the point of this patch section? If it talks about how the patching in this game works, it's relevant. But the section only talks about the very first patch for the game which is rather pointless and irrelevant. It's not practical to describe every single patch released for the game because each of them is already explained in their respective patch page. Timeline

If The Sims 4 wasn't in an alternative universe, I think the timeline would be in this order: The Sims 3, The Sims 1, The Sims 4 and then The Sims 2. For example, Cassandra Goth isn't born (The Sims 3) and then she is a child (The Sims 1) and then she is a teen (The Sims 4) and lastly, she is an adult (The Sims 2). "unborn" just means that their mom (or dad in case of alien pregnancies) is pregnant. Bella is'nt pregnant in TS3, she and Morty are kids. The correct term would be to call her "not conceived yet". Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 15:12, November 2, 2014 (UTC)

Redundant information

This article contains several redundant and not-so-accurate information.

1. First, it talked about patches twice, but these patches didn't really explain about "patch" in general, but instead a particular patch that only talked about pools / ghosts in interest, even though other patches still brought major topics. It was too specific and it lost its point, so I revised that to describe about patch more generally.
2. Second, I'm currently hiding the "expansion packs" subsection because it didn't really explain about expansion packs (which haven't really existed by the time of writing). Instead, it talked about a survey. Well, normally you can find out the surveys in a news site like SimsVIP or Honeywell's tumblr, but I believe explaining a survey to represent future EPs is very inaccurate. Not to mention, if you read the subsection, it was more like an individual's speculation. Eventually a survey will be dated in the future, so if you really want to inform about a survey, a news blog is the most suitable place, not here.
3. Third, there's this statement: "The Sims 4 receives free content updates every month.^[22]" From what I gathered from the reference, the blog said we'd be getting updates in October, November, and December, but didn't really say the months afterwards. "Every month" implies that updates and new additions would be regularly added to the game, but even the blog explicitly stated "...the first of three major game updates coming to The Sims 4 over the next three months..." For this reason, I'm inclined to remove this information. I don't mean to revise it either because eventually it will be outdated.

Making Own Towns

Can you make your own neighbourhoods in this game (like completely empty neighbourhoods, like in the Sims 2)? It was one of my favourite features of Sims 2 and was removed for Sims 3. I want to buy Sims 4 but I founds Sims 3 incredibly boring without having complete control.

Sims 4 Disc 2?

I got the Sims 4: Limited Edition for Christmas this year. It came with two discs. What exactly is on the second disc?

Newcrest

Trivia that TS4 was once free to attain

Regarding kit packs

Due to how small kits are and the fact that three are being released at once (which makes me think there will be a lot), having an individual page for each of them wouldn't be practical, in my opinion.
