Two popular expansion packs, both dealing with magic in some form. While Makin' Magic uses a more classical and old-fashioned style, Apartment Life chooses a modern, exciting one. Which do you prefer?
I love Belladonna Cove, but the absences of a spooky carnival sub-hood and dragons as pets are some of the few things I really felt TS2 (as well as TS3, so far anyway) lacked to its detriment. Beatrice Monty (talk) 19:57, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Makin' Magic was an amazing addition to TS1. It had Bonehilda as well, a character I loved and didn't come back to TS2. I remember playing this game for hours with my sister. --RoseGui (talk here) 20:07, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
IMO, TS1 has had some of the best EPs of the series because of the novelty of them. This one was also one that transpired the wacky atmosphere of the first generation. Also, I like MM's magic mechanics better. DanPin • talk • contribs 19:10, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
Magic town. This tops everything. How can witches live out of magic town? Love the element since i read Harry Potter72.46.141.18 (talk) 07:38, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
I will stay classic, because I have sentiment for Makin' Magic. Also soundtrack from this expansion is the best of all The Sims franchise music89.74.239.118 (talk) 14:17, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
Makin' Magic had much more to it than apartment life. Besides, apartment life was so boring and probably the least interesting EP in the Sims 2 besides Pets (for me of course). Star ಠ_ಠBee 18:46, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
I never play The Sims Makin Magic so I go for Apartment Life! 82.139.96.64 (talk) 15:14, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
I never owned Makin' Magic, and although it looks much better than AL, I'm still going with it. Vss2eiptalk here 20:05, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Modern exiting magic all the waaaaaaaaaaaaay :p XD!!!!!! "I'm crazy and I know it! --FluffBall (talk) 16:19, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
Well I suppose Makin' Magic has complex items which have not even been touched in The Sims before but AL, at first I thought it meant Amorous love, but it still has a place in my heart. DevlyHallows ~ (Talk) 08:07, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
From what I know, Makin' Magic was a very nice addition to The Sims with lots of objects and other things that weren't fully developed in further games, but I have to go for AL, since, well, it's The Sims 2 and that will always have a nostalgic place in my brain. --- ☣ ʀodrigo x(talk)(contribs) 13:31, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
As much as Makin' Magic added to TS1, I think Apartment Life is one of the best EPs out of all 3 games. GAHSIcepick (talk) 18:01, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
This is hard, BUT I'm gonna have to say AL... Epic dolphin 18:59, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Apartment Life adds alot more to the game on top of the apartments you get magic and a lot of really cool items. Cyanwave186 (talk) 09:33, February 19, 2013 (UTC))
I agree, but it was about time for The Sims to win a battle. :P Perhaps a Makin' Magic vs Supernatural would have been better. Vss2eiptalk here 20:05, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Mhm, then it would have similar additions like bonehilda and the bee honey thing (in Makin' Magic) and the beehive in supernatural. DevlyHallows ~ (Talk) 07:57, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
It would make more sense if this was Makin' Magic vs. Supernaural —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.231.76.133 (talk • contribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
