The Sims Wiki:Talkboxes

This page is a collection information and discussion on talkboxes, small colored talk bubbles designed to be used when leaving messages on talk pages as a way to distinguish users messages from others. You are free to make your own. If you cannot, then you can leave a request on the talk page.

How to create a talkbox

1. The first step is to look over the Usage section and Example section of {{User talk bubble}}. This is the code you'll need to use to make a talkbox.
2. Copy the code from {{User talk bubble}} and fill in the fields to create your talkbox.

How to get an image

1. Select an image from the talkbox images or any on the site. The preferred size for an image is 50x59. You can change the size of an image using an image editing tool or site (such as Picnik, Photoshop, Paint.NET, etc.)
2. Copy the name the title of the page after "File:" and paste it after |image= . Ex. |image= Alexander Goth-SE.jpg

How to make a talkbox reusable

1. Create a template (a page in the Template: namespace; see Help:Namespace for more info) with the name of the talkbox. Names of talkboxes are generally short.
2. Copy the code from {{User talk bubble}} and paste it in the new talkbox you're making. You can then fill in the fields to create your talkbox.

Once you have filled in the fields, your word bubble is ready to be used. On talk pages, you can now include it with this code:
