Timeline for migration[edit source]

I'd like to know if anyone has any planned timeline for the migration, and the specific steps that would be involved in migrating. If not, I think it's something that is worth discussing. It would also help to have an idea about what steps we will take prior to making the move; what will be revealed to the TSW community and (approximately) when? What, if any, consensus or vote are we looking to build for migrating? Right now, this project feels as though it's building, but not building towards any appreciable goal. Having a timeline—even one that is subject to change in the future—could help to put things in perspective. -- LostInRiverview (talk) 04:42, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Because of the uncertainty that has plagued this project since the beginning (though the uncertainty seems to be beginning to clear as we move forward and make progress), no timeline was set, especially given how variable everybody's availability is. A really rough estimate was to finalize the migration (or at least unveil it) by February 2020, when The Sims turns 20 years old. No actual timeline of things that needed to be done was set; it had always been "do whatever you can do to help us move closer towards completion." —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 11:59, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
I get that. What I'm saying is, should we set one now? Assuming February 2020 is the desired migration date, what steps need to happen before then, both here and on the Wikia wiki, to make the move? And, more to my point, when would we implement those requisite steps? For example, assuming that a migration requires a community discussion on TSW, when would we start that discussion in order to guarantee a February 2020 move? -- LostInRiverview (talk) 17:26, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
