The thermostat is an object in The Sims 4: Seasons. It has three settings to choose from, which will either make a building cooler or warmer, or turn the thermostat off. It can be used on both residential lots and community lots.
Setting the thermostat to a temperature opposite to the outside temperature will significantly increase a household's bills, whereas setting it to a temperature that matches the outside temperature will decrease bills, but make Sims uncomfortable and put them at risk of dying from overheating or freezing. Using a thermostat on a community lot has no effect on bills.
