Trait chip
- Not to be confused with Trait.
Trait Chips are traits associated with Into the Future expansion which are only assigned to Plumbots, replacing the trait system of Sims. There are 20 trait chips shipped with the expansion. One is specially attained, adding up to 21 total chips in game.
Each trait chip is separated into four hidden categories: Ability, Skill, Service, and Social. Plumbots have from 3 to 7 slots depending on their quality level. Plumbots can be upgraded to have more trait chip slots. Sims will be able to buy trait chips from the Bot Emporium in Oasis Landing, or design and create them with Reventlov's Bot Workshop, using the Bot Building skill. Sims can also buy the Trait Chip Bundle for 10,000 lifetime happiness points.
