Tutorial Joe Sim is a pre-made Sim introduced to teach new users features and functions of The Sims 2 game. He is an adult male with red hair, green eyes, and light skin. Joe wears his outfit with cargo pants and white tennis shoes. Each tutorial uses a different Joe, and their character files can be found in The Sims Castaway Stories.

His parents' names are a play on the tutorial family, the Newbie Family, of The Sims. According to Joe's age data in SimPE, he is 23 days from becoming an elder. According to his character data, he is the first Sim made in the Tutorial Neighborhood.

Joe while starting off with no skills, is more than 65% towards building his first Body point which is quite convenient as all the listed jobs in the newspaper will be for a Team Mascot position in the Athletic career. Which incidentally was a job he had and got fired from before, according to his memories.
