Tutorial Joe Sim is a pre-made Sim introduced to teach new users features and functions of The Sims 2 game. He is an adult male with red hair, green eyes, and light skin. Joe wears his outfit with cargo pants and white tennis shoes. Each tutorial uses a different Joe, and their character files can be found in The Sims Castaway Stories.

His parents' names are a play on the tutorial family, the Newbie Family, of The Sims. The fact that he has no memories of growing up has led some players to speculate that he may have been potty trained as an adult. According to Joe's age data in SimPE, he is 23 days from becoming an elder.
