An unused accessory are clothing/genetics that appears in a picture (a family tree or a storytelling picture, mostly) but does not appear in the game. This occurs in [[The Sims]] and [[The Sims 2]], though it is much more noticeable in The Sims 2. There are a few examples of Sims such as [[Irma Oldie]] and [[Gertrude Beaker]] that appear to use these accessories. Here is a gallery of a few pictures showing Sims with unused accessories.
