Mags Newbie is a pre-made Sim who lived her adult life in Riverview. She's the mother of Bob Newbie and grandmother to Brandi Broke.

Mags is commonly used as a pet name for Margaret, meaning "Pearl."

Biography

Life leading up to The Sims 3

Mags always jumps at crazy opportunities, and takes risks. So she naturally went along with her husband's sudden decision to move to Riverview. She's now happy to live in the quiet town and to cook up all the fish Robert catches. Her son might stay, or choose to live somewhere more pleasant.

Her appearance changed a quite a bit from The Sims 2 to The Sims 3. In The Sims 3, she does not have the light blue dress, French braid, or light blue eyes. In The Sims 2, she bears a resemblance to her granddaughter, Brandi, but in The Sims 3, she has tilted green eyes, red feathered hair, and a differently shaped nose, taking away the similarity.

Mags is friends with Odin Crosby, Yvette Grisby, and her own husband, Robert Newbie. In The Sims 3, there is door called Mags' Door. The door is in the style of the 1950s and it might be a reference to Mags Newbie. At the start of the game, Mags is 16 days from becoming an elder.

Life leading up to The Sims 2

She was married to Robert Newbie, as seen on her family tree. Together she and Robert had a son, the virtually famous Bob Newbie (famed for his greasy clothing and bald head), who is introduced in the tutorial of The Sims.

Mags is the grandmother of Bob and Betty's daughter, Brandi. Mags is also the great-grandmother of Brandi's sons; Dustin Broke, Beau Broke, with a third son on the way. She is notable for being one of few Sims to have an unused French braid hairstyle.

According to Mags' SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was black before it turned grey. According to her age data, she had 17 days left in the elder life stage when she died.
