Line 1: This is the username used by the [[wikipedia:MediaWiki\|MediaWiki]] software. It is used by [[m:Staff\|Miraheze Staff]] when performing maintenance tasks, and by the <ttcode>[[mw:Manual:rebuildmessages.php\|rebuildmessages.php]]</ttcode> script to keep [[Help:MediaWiki namespace\|MediaWiki system messages]] up to date with their default messages. MediaWiki default is ''not'' a bot and is unaffected by blocks. Edits made by this script have a user ID of 0, so they are treated like anonymous edits. They cannot be viewed in the contributions page due to [~~https~~[mediazilla:~~//phabricator.wikimedia.org/~~T36873 \|T36873]], although they can be seen via querying the [[mw:API:Main page\|API]]. Issues with the script should be reported to [[~~Special~~phab:~~Contact~~\|~~Wikia Staff~~Phabricator]].
