The Sims 3: Into the Future


The Plumbot competition arena is a rabbit hole featured in The Sims 3: Into the Future.

Gameplay description

Sims can get a job in bot arena career, taking a bot building class for §300, watch the plumbot competition for §200, and tour in the plumbot competition arena.

Only Plumbots and Sims who are in Robot Mode can enter the competition.

The competition awards cash prizes, trophies, and the adoration of the crowd. It opens every 12:00PM.

Plumbots can entering the competition even without trait chips installed to them. However, while they are in the competition, their Needs will decrease. So, it's best to enter with high quality. And after the competition, Sims or Plumbots won't be enter unless they are in a cool state.

There are 3 types of competition of a Sim or Plumbot can compete: BattleBot competition, Bot Building Competition, and EmotiBotting Competition. The BattleBot competitions require Athletic skill, Bot Building competitions require Bot Building skill, and EmotiBotting Competitions require Charisma skill. And each of them have difficulties: Beginner, Advanced and International. Competing at higher levels such as Advanced or International requires the Limitless Learning Trait Chip (for Plumbots only) as well as certain amount of Skill (for Plumbots and Sims) based on the type of Competition.

During a Competition, there are 12 competitor, including your Sim or Plumbot, that they will compete. A pace is a difficulty mode that players can set for their Sim or Plumbot. There are 3 types of Pace:

Playing It Safe: it grants the highest success chance, smallest bonus chance, and no penalty chance.
Take Risks: it grants a medium to high success chance, medium bonus chance, and small penalty chance.
Going for Broke: it grants a moderate success chance, large success bonus, and large penalty chance.

Stellar observatory

The Sims 3: Into the Future


The Stellar observatory is a rabbit hole featured in The Sims 3: Into the Future.

Gameplay description

Sims can get a job in astronomer career, taking a space training class for §500, watch the planetarium show for §30, and tour in the stellar observatory. It is impossible to WooHoo inside.

The stellar observatory in Oasis Landing is located next to the bistro and in front of the library and the city hall.

Sims can experiment with Zero-G. Also, Sims who are in the Astrophycist branch or have 1 skill point in Logic can search for stellar observatory.

Varieties
