Back-in-the-day pick — The Government by WikiBuilder1147

Governments exist to enforce laws that protect both the state and its citizens. When a state or its people are in danger, the government is expected to take action to protect them. Their authority exists to serve, and they are expected to use their judgement fairly. Unfortunately, this theory only works on paper, and in practice governments are corruptible and sometimes incapable. Many fancy their own interests, others accept bribes and polish the shoes of plutocrats. The Free Republic of Democratica, built upon the remains of SimNation, has achieved dominance over the entire planet and rule with an iron fist. Oasis Landing rises from the dust and is now home to the surviving Sims.
