User blog:K6ka/The Sims Wiki News - 10th May 2015
Been a while since I did the news. Anyways, without further ado to this slightly overdue news post... *cough* ahem *cough* ahem *cough cough*
- The Sims 4: Luxury Party Stuff announced!
The Sims 4: Luxury Party Stuff was first discovered inside the code of the latest patch using S4PE, the The Sims 4 version of "SimPE" from The Sims 2 and 3. Its development was confirmed officially on May 6. Now we just have to wait to see what this stuff pack brings.[1][2] Might be reminiscent of The Sims 2: Glamour Life Stuff and The Sims 3: High-End Loft Stuff...
By the way, if you want more information about this stuff pack, ask at the next "Ask a Guru" session on May 19 from 11AM to noon, PST. Get your questions ready!
- Patches patches patches...
Patch 17 came out on Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you!)[pun intended!] and contains a number of bug fixes. Always remember to uninstall all mods and custom content before installing the patch, and to run the game at least once without your mods and custom content after installing the patch.[3]

- LostInRiverview takes a leave of absence
LostInRiverview, one of our longest standing administrators, has announced that he will be taking an indefinite[n 1] leave of absence for personal reasons. We all hate to see him go, but as we all must understand, sometimes life throws you a curve, and what you loved doing in the past is no longer viable, productive, or even fun. We hope life treats LiR well and that he is able to find a hobby outside of The Sims Wiki. Good luck LiR!

- Battles!
Another round of battles have begun! Winner takes home $50 million, loser goes home with a broken nose, and those that get into a tie... get nothing. Ties are for wimps!
Over at our canon battles, we have two The Sims 3 traits pitted against one another — Heavy Sleeper vs Light Sleeper. Would you rather sleep soundly like a baby, and never wake up even if a cherrybomb went off right next to you, or would you be ready to jump out of bed like a ninja, run like an Olympic sprinter, and fight that blaze like a firefighter? It's people like you that run our battles and determine the winner — vote now!
Icemandeaf's The Genesis Project has been gaining a lot of recent attention lately. Two Sims from his fanon are pitted against each other like wild dogs: Tyler Harper vs Chris Fisher. Tyler keeps the financial and book-keeping situation in the project in order, while Chris feeds the population with his skills at the rod and hook. Chris often thinks Tyler is too full of himself and is abusing his power in order to place himself at such a lofty position. Does Chris have a point and Tyler is a jerk, or is Chris just jelly of Tyler? It's people like you that run our battles and determine the winner — vote now!
