On editing links[edit source]

First, welcome to The Sims Wiki. I'm glad that you have decided to participate, and that you have been willing to make small detail-edits. However, I would like to ask that, when you see that only part of a word is highlighted as a link, you leave it alone, as it reflects correct wikitext usage. Wikitext allows usage such as [[toddler]]s, which it parses as if it were [[Toddler|toddlers]] . It may not show that way in Visual Editor, but in the actual article view, the entire word is highlighted. Visual Editor may be close to WYSIWYG, but it's not exact. Also, the wiki software reads a link to "Toddler" and a link to "Toddlers" as links to different articles. A link to "Toddlers" works as a link to Toddler because Toddlers is a redirect to "Toddler". There's nothing wrong with using redirects like that, but it's best not to count on them being there. Dharden (talk) 21:58, April 19, 2015 (UTC)
