SimPE, Milkshape 3D and UV Mapper[edit source]

SimPE is a free tool developed and supported by http://sims.ambertation.de/.

Milkshape 3D is a tool with 30-day trial period and is developed and supported by http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/.

UV Mapper is also a free tool and can be found http://www.uvmapper.com/, but don't buy the Pro version if you aren't gonna use it, because the classic version will do as well.\

For tutorials, I recommend looking for them in http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Main_Page.

Hope it helps,

RE: Your issues with The Sims 2[edit source]

I'd forget the part about the hardware/RAM issues, as that doesn't seem to be the case. It sounds to me like the data for your family is corrupted. Unless you backed up your data in the past to restore from, the only way around this is to start the family again. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 09:22, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Are you sure there isn't another issue with your computer? Also, have you tried moving the family to a different lot? Sometimes, the lot may be corrupted and it could render the family unplayable in that particular lot. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 21:22, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Saying that someone "fails at sarcasm" can be taken as a personal attack let alone the fact that the comment itself is rude, which is pretty ironic considering you called the same user "rude". If you don't have anything nice to say then simply don't say it at all. I have deleted your comments and if you make comments like those again then don't be surprised to find yourself banned for a day. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 10:24, June 10, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Question regarding TS2[edit source]

Cow mascots are listed as being safe to play as; since they are not universal NPCs, they for sure will not cause game corruption.

I'm not too sure about whether or not the game will recreate the cow mascots, but since it is possible to move them in through normal gameplay, and since they have playable character data, it seems likely that the game will regenerate them when they are needed.

While the cow mascot is safe to play as, they do have hardcoded NPC behaviour that may cause a few annoyances. They're known to continue wearing the ridiculous cow costume even if you give them different clothes to wear. There's an option on Cyjon's Debugger that should clear this.

Simply making a Sim selectable doesn't automatically add them to the household, but if the Sim is safe to play as, it won't cause any long-term problems. If I do make Sims selectable during the play session, I generally make them unselectable before saving, just to be safe; however, I don't think it causes corruption.
Making the mascots selectable and having them find their own place on the computer should, to my knowledge, be safe. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 23:29, May 5, 2017 (UTC)
