Vampire Powers and Weaknesses are a new customizable perk system and gameplay feature for the Vampire lifestate in The Sims 4: Vampires game pack.
Increasing Vampire Rank
There are five Vampire Ranks, and your vampire Sims will have several options to increase their Vampire Rank.
- Duelling
- Researching Vampiric lore
- Being mentored by other Vampires
- Using vampiric abilities
Each Vampire Rank unlocks 5 new powers for you to choose from, as well as weaknesses.
Powers and Weaknesses
Powers
Vampires can choose certain powers as they gain more experience and become stronger. There are a total of 25 powers, divided evenly (5 per each Vampire Rank), with several powers having their own tiers (up to a maximum of 3).
Power Points are used to unlock Vampire powers. Vampire Rank 1 powers cost 2 Power Points each, and with each Vampire Rank that cost increases by 1, with Vampire Rank 5 powers costing 6 Power Points each.
Weaknesses
At the expense of becoming a more powerful vampire, the vampire must develop a weakness. There are a total of 11 weaknesses, divided unevenly amongst the Vampire Ranks. Some weaknesses have their own tiers (up to a maximum of 3), and some conflict with certain powers, barring you from being able to choose them.

Trivia
- Almost all vampiric abilities can be unlocked for a single sim (except those that conflict with others), as your Sim will continue gaining Power Points even after they have reached the maximum Vampire Rank.[1]
