There are several other things that Visa levels can do other than increasing the default vacation time. At the first level, Sims will have a benefit of buying goods from merchants that can be seen wondering around. As the Sim's Visa level increased, the quality of the goods increased as well. It does the same as the second level.
Finally at the third level, Sims can buy a vacation home as their second home. This will replace their base camp. It is quite interesting, that Sims can buy more than one vacation homes at a time. However only one can be lived at once. Vacation homes can be used to store relics that have been found during adventures.
